The opportunity to get a first-rate education for all Americans is essential to our continued success as a nation. And that means that each of us deserves the opportunity to develop our talents and skills under the best possible circumstances. Regardless of what form that educational development takes and where it ends, one thing is certain: it must begin as soon as possible after birth, if not before, and must be based on the JudeoChristian values by which this country was founded and has developed.

Every American should have the option to pursue their education without worrying about the cost and how to pay for it. Education, however, should not be free. Nothing worth anything in this world is free. The whole notion of forgiveness of all student debt and free college education is preposterous, not to mention unaffordable to any significant scale, and places an unfair burden on society. We all, as a nation, benefit when our society is well-educated, but that can and must take many forms, and they cannot all be free.
